Notes |
It
seems a long time ago I was chatting with Ken Long and
discovered we both had a passion for the books of Terry
Pratchett's Discworld. I said if I ever directed a play
it would have to be one of his stories adapted for the
stage. Right, said Ken, you do it and I'll help you - or
words to the effect! 'Wyrd
Sisters', adapted by Stephen Briggs, seemed the ideal
choice. It's been performed all over the world and it
makes me laugh. Well that was then, and this is now! Having
been involved with the Quince Players in plays and pantomimes
since 1968 the committee obviously felt it was safe for me to
venture into the Director's chair. After a lot of hard
work by a cast of thousands (well, nearly!) and from the back
stage crew, I hope we have produced something which you will
enjoy. I would
especially like to thank Ken for his invaluable advice and
support, my husband Chris Eva for inspiration, support and so
much patience and Joy for being my right-hand woman! So
sit back and enjoy a battle of good versus evil with 'diverse
alarums and excursions.' Vivienne
