Private Lives sweeps from the Riviera to Paris following the riotous and romantic escapades of Amanda and Elyot, once married (to each other), once divorced (from each other), married again (not to each other), only to run off (with each other).  The quips, the quibbles, the witticisms abound with typical Coward finesse.  Even beneath the glamorous surface, the course of true love never runs smooth, and there may be a reason for that.
