Celebrating 65 years of Amateur Dramatics
SNOW QUEEN THE PANTO

Snow Queen The Panto was performed in January 2010, based loosely on the story by Hans Christian Andersen.our traditional pantomime sees Gerda and her glamorous granny Kay, set off on an adventure to find the missing Kai. On the way they meet the bumbling court ravens, Rok and Raoul, and are threatened by a robber band led by Mack the Knife, who's not that sharp.

Kai, meanwhile, has been taken to the icelandic wastes by the Magical Mirror. As Kai can do his twenty-seven times table - the cleverest boy in his village - the Snow Queen wants him as her Prince, to turn him ice cold and so help battle Global Warming. Thanks to the intervention of the Fairy Flora though, all turns out well, even for the love-struck volcano, Hekla!

The Charities that were helped from this performance was Paul’s Trust, The Linda McCartney Centre and THROB.
